Hobie Camp
Hobie Camp sessions 3 and 4 are now closed.
We cannot accept any more applications and there is no waiting list. Â Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for understanding.
Hobie Camp is for children ages 4 to 8.  The program includes arts, crafts, games, sports, drama, music, swim lessons, free swim, special guests, and theme weeks. During the last week of session 4 we will offer an introductory sailing program to our oldest campers taught by our head sailing instructor. Each camper also will receive a Hobie shirt for each session they attend.
Hobie Camp is a 6 week long program split into 4 sessions (2 one week sessions and 2 two week sessions.) Each session meets five days a week. Camp hours are 9:00 am – 1:15 pm. Camp will begin on Monday, June 20th and will run through Friday, July 29th.  There will be no camp on Monday, July 4th.
Due to the wide range of dates that schools will be ending this year, we will be offering two single week sessions at the beginning of camp. This will allow those campers that end school earlier to start enjoying camp and the campers that have school can attend Session 2 and not have to worry about missing a thing. Session 1 will have limited enrollment due to partial staffing of this session.
Seven and eight year olds, who have tried out and have been placed on the Lobster Tails Pre Swim Team will be able to do both without missing any of the fun of Hobie Camp. Hobie Camp will take Lobster Tail members to the home Lobster Tails swim meet. Parents will be responsible for making arrangements so their child can attend any away or Rock Lobster swim meet. Swim Team Fees are not included in the cost of Hobie Camp. You will need to sign your child up and pay the appropriate fees. *Please indicate (by checking off the appropriate box) on the application if you plan to have your child try out for the Lobster Tails Pre Swim Team.
Hobie Camp is run by our Camp Director, Monique Leone Bartling, she has been in this position for seven years. Â She is assisted by our Assistant Camp Director, Mary Cambareri, Mary has been with Roton Point for sixteen years. Â Both of these individuals are teachers in the Norwalk Public School System. Â We are pleased to have them both back.
