RPSA Golden Anniversary

50th Annual Fall Regatta

Notice of Race

Participants in the 2008 regatta

Scheduled for September 19 and 20, 2009. Multihull classic on Long Island Sound. This is an open regatta sanctioned by New England Catamaran Sailing Association ("NECSA").  Separate starts if sufficient class registration for Hobie classes, Nacra 6.0NA, Formula 18, Formula 20, and Open Classes (Fast Handicap and Slow Handicap) with Portsmouth handicap numbers. New this year: Masters Open Class for Skippers 50 and over, Total of 3 to 5 races scheduled per day. Camping permitted on the grounds, all meals available, hot showers, and legendary Roton Point hospitality!
 
ENTRY FEE: $35.00 per boat, includes all association fees. Three trophies per division. NO PRE-REGISTRATION necessary. All registration on Saturday, September 19, 8:30 - 9:15 AM
 
CRUISING CLASS DISTANCE RACE - Saturday only, open to cruising cats, Tri’s. Entry: $20 per boat. Moorings available through Norwalk Yacht Club (adjacent to Roton Point, email for mooring information).

Directions:

Northbound I-95 Connecticut
Exit 12, Tokeneke Road, Route 136. Turn right and head south into village of Rowayton. Follow Route 136 and make left turn on to McKinley Street. One block north to Roton Avenue, right turn and 0.5 miles to the club entrance on right side of road.

Southbound I-95 Connecticut
Exit 11, Boston Post Road (Route 1). Take a left under the turnpike, another left to re-enter turnpike and go back to Exit 12. Follow the above directions.

  • No dogs or pets. No exceptions!
  • Tent camping on grounds, hot showers!
  • Motor home camping in parking area
  • No visiting boats prior to Friday September 19 without prior approval.
All regatta activities are staffed by RPSA volunteers.
