| The RPSA end-of-season awards dinner was held on
October 27th, and well attended by 50 or so people.
As has become the custom, members brought sufficient starters to have the
tables groaning under their weight. To meet the budget, beer and wine was
provided, but contributions of harder stuff made for a great start to the
evening.
After everyone had eaten, Commodore Mike Smith presented this year's awards,

Peggy Moseley Memorial Trophy
This is a new trophy, established in memory of Peggy, who
was a keen sailor, and did a lot to foster sailing at Roton Point. We
thought long and hard about what this trophy should commemorate, and decided it
should be an RPSA trophy for adults, rather than a sailing school trophy for
kids. So it is the Peggy Moseley Memorial Trophy, awarded annually to an
individual who has made a significant contribution to the furtherance of sailing
at Roton Point. Its first recipient, Bud McGarry, has put a lot of time and
effort into watching over the sailing school, and even gave summer-long
accommodation to our head instructor. Congratulations, Bud.
